I am more than certain — and sometimes you can actually see it in sudden spikes in visits to the local thread and by other signs — that we have been the subject of discussion among traders more than once.
As always, there were opinions, opinions, opinions. And plenty of nasty ones, of course — how could there not be?
But time goes on. Months, now already year. And where are those opinions now (?) What did they mean back then to the people who formed them (?) from their own (!) understanding of the market — and what do they remember about them now?
And most importantly — how has their profit grown since then (?)
How has ours grown? Ours is all there, on the accounts.
It is important to understand — and this is just my personal opinion — that ForexFactory statistics, if they are, let’s put it mildly, very, very green, are already a reason to stop and think.
You shouldn’t underestimate statistics that much.
Dry and strict numbers, of course, do not know how to speak by themselves. They are just numbers.
People can understand them (or not), if they actually want to understand and ask themselves one simple question:
Come on, look at the chart — how the hell are they actually doing this?
Of course, the trader community is already an established dimension of its own, with its own rules and norms of what IT, collectively and massively, considers to be NORMAL.
I am left with just one question about all of this.
NORMAL — is it constant growth? Or is NORMAL simply making money sometimes?
And most importantly — is it NORMAL to know how to read metrics and understand that 99% is nothing but noise, while overlooking those rare 1%, or perhaps even less than 1%, of genuinely extremely interesting results that at the very least deserve to be discussed?
Because hundreds and hundreds of participants sitting online in threads like “WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE DOLLAR”, “GOLD ONLY”, but apparently without much success — that is a strange kind of normality.
At least for me ))
For me, NORMAL is discussing only WHAT DEFINITELY WORKS and what can be PRESENTED IN NUMBERS as something that WORKS.
