USDJPY — recently 📈

A beautiful long entry, built through a series of positions.
In this area of the market.
Of course, now it is clear that this particular area turned out to be the right place for the long entry. But before that moment — who could have said the same thing with the same level of accuracy?
And this is just another one of those facts — and there have already been so many of them... Well, that's not what we're talking about now 🙂
I don't often read trading forums, but sometimes I do.
And occasionally my brain starts boiling 🙂
Of course, everyone likes to talk. But there is a huge difference between something scientific and well-founded — something that actually describes reality — and someone's imagination.
And there is only one real criterion that can separate the two: objective metrics and results.
Why am I writing about this?
Our community is also a place for discussion, and everyone is welcome to join.
But drawing lines and analysing trades outside of a verifiable structure and methodology, without a system behind it that can be tested, improved and developed, is simply a waste of time.
Personally, I find it much more interesting to see the decisions made by an AI and then apply all available skills — including Technical Analysis, which can sometimes be useful.
My personal opinion is that TA may help after a certain probabilistic edge has already been identified using another methodology. And perhaps, during those relatively rare moments when TA genuinely works, it is simply describing the same market conditions in which a real edge already exists — an edge that our AI can detect perfectly well without using TA at all.
So, what do you think?
Isn't analysing a successful AI much more interesting?
Or maybe fishing without catching any fish is also a perfectly interesting activity?
Well... perhaps. We won't deny that possibility either 🙂
